A rate is a starting value, not a lock. If the government moves it, you change it yourself in Settings → Currency & Tax the same day — you do not need a new version of the software. Individual products can carry their own rate, or be marked exempt.
Utang / lista — the part every shop gets wrong
Most shops in the Philippines keep utang / lista in a register, and the register is always a week behind the shop. Busnipy POS keeps it against the customer instead: every credit sale posts to their balance as it is billed, part-payments come off it, and the list is correct at closing time without anybody adding a column of figures.
The recovery screen sorts by how long money has been owed rather than by how much, because the oldest debt is the one that turns into a loss. Reminders go out over Messenger and SMS with the balance already in the message, and every one of them is recorded against the customer — so the next person to ask knows what was already asked.

Yes. Choose the Philippines during setup and prices are treated as VAT-inclusive at 12%, with the tax worked out of the marked price on the invoice and your TIN printed on it.
Can I record GCash and Maya?
Yes — each is a payment method recorded per bill, so the day close shows wallet money apart from cash and reconciles against your statement.
Can I track utang?
Yes. Each customer carries a balance with the date, ageing splits it by 30/60/90 days, and payments clear the oldest bill first.
Will it work when the internet is down?
Yes. Everything about selling runs on your own PC. Internet is only needed for messaging, online backups and the phone app.
